i have always used itunes to search buy and download my music however i was wondering if there was an andriod based music store or app that i can use with my droid rather than download via pc then transfer to my phone. the anazon music store app is not supported in NZ and the google music app seems to be the same.
There are loads of sites that let you download MP3 file which would be fine for your Android.
Some of the sites offer quite high quality and would reduce the amount of tracks you could store but you can always re-encode to a smaller 128 bit file
Google has an official Music store... it's called Google Music. https://market.android.com/music As usual though, it's not available in New Zealand... yet. :-(
Bought my first Android device in July last year and I still cannot understand why there is no official Android music store (in New Zealand these days anyway). Just seems like such a big oversight. I tried one of the NZ sites (digirama or something) but the file wouldn't download, so I just installed a torrent app and downloaded songs through that.
Why do you expect an operating system maker to also provide a music service? Because Apple does? Does Microsoft Windows? If it does , it is poorly marketed as I have not heard about it.
By that I mean, why do you necessarily have to buy music from the company that makes your device [or provides the OS]

Yes there is (Google Music). No you can't use it because it's US only. Just torrent crap instead or buy stuff off itunes and copy the files onto your android phone.

If I remember rightly, google music was not a store as such, but a music service that allows you to upload your music to their servers and stream them to your phone.
