Hi There!

I am looking for an app for my Galaxy Tab which I can use to keep our home recipes in order. I love the Epicurus app but it hasn't been updated in so long and isn't tablet friendly (android at least) and is very Americanised which is a pain.

It would be nice if it was possible upload scanned PDF versions and create new recipes or store url based ones as well.

Cheers

Jaime Oliver has a mean iPad app, not sure if it's of any use or if it's on Android sorry, just that I've seen it and it's a pretty good effort.

Yeah the Jamie Oliver 20 Minute meals is on Android for $9.99, think it was on special at half price according to the google graph

It's a shame GoodReader isn't being released for Android - it would do everything you want. Perhaps there is something similar for android though.. I always found Epicurious to be a good app (despite having to convert the american measurements), but maybe it doesnt work so well on Android.

You may have noticed im now on ios.. When I did use an Android though; I used My Cookbook. It sounds like what you want. It doesn't have built in recipies like Epicurious, but you can add your own and build up a database. I know it did URLs but don't think it did PDFs

I picked that up for $0.40 during the Google Play introduction.  I've even used a couple of the recipes and watched most of the videos.

Not sure if this is where you're going with the question:

For my recipes I use Evernote (Android/Windows and other platforms). I have a notebook which is then categorised further by Savoury, Mains, Dessert etc.  You get the picture.
You can "clip" articles from the web too and it will add them to the notebook.  You can tag as well.  And you can include URLs.  When you clip from the Internet it will by default add in the URL.

I've been slowly moving my recipes from One Note into Evernote.

I love being able to have the Eee Pad open on the kitchen counter showing the recipe/photos. It's so much more convenient than running back and forth to the laptop, or having my hubby call out the instructions from the laptop.

If you got a new iPad you could also turn it over and use it as a hotplate ;-)

Would someone mind providing an alternative link to the DCKL1 modem, neither of them work for me.

Watch it, the apple fanboys are a bit sensitive to that issue right now....

networkn: Galaxy Tab 8.9

Just checked from my ASUS Eee Pad and it's not showing in the market.  I guess it's not compatible with my pad.  Did it show in Google Play from the Galaxy tab?

Gold.

I put the Jamie Oliver app on my original Galaxy Tab and it works fine. Seems odd that it's not showing on the newer models.

Caveat: I _may_ have installed it from the Amazon Appstore rather than the Android market.  That said, I bought it for 40c during the sale anyway as the market version scales to the screen on my tablet(s) and the Amazon one doesn't.

Neat app, pity it doesn't seem to get new content added very often.
