Hey guys I rooted my phone using Nztechfreaks guide via the zergrush exploit but I need to unroot it now as i need to send it back in for a replacement.

my phone wont charge properly when i plug it in to charge it keeps cutting in and out I think something is wrong with the mini usb port or it might be me? I use my phone until it completely runs out of juice and then start to charge it does that affect it in anyway?

Full charge/discharge cycles are actually worse for the battery than daily top-up charges. I doubt they'll be doing anything good for the phone, but shouldn't have killed the battery in the few last months.

Most likely it's a bad solder connection on the USB port. Various Galaxy phones have had this issue, and it's easy enough to fix yourself if the phone is outside of warranty. Seeing as how your phone is fairly new, I wouldn't suggest it.

AFAIK, the zergrush exploit opens up the phone just long enough to get SuperUser installed. SuperUser is responsible for running apps as root. Depending on whether it's installed as a user app or a system app, you may be able to just remove it, and there goes your root. If it's a system app you might need to get a root-able file manager (e.g. ES File Explorer) and delete /system/app/superuser.apk. This should be enough to make it look like the phone has never been rooted.

^ +1. Deleting/uninstalling superuser should do the trick.

Also, have you tried using a different microUSB cable?
