I'm not even going to try ringing the helpdesk, 3 - 4 WxC ADSL connections that I know of have just gone down. If anyone has any info, please post it here :-)

Ooops. I hope they fix it quickly. I recommend the in-laws to move to XNet and VFX because Telecom wouldn't allow them to keep their number when they moved - so I hope this comes back up quickly before they realise and complain to me that "this new telephone system is not working".

Their first question when I told them things would go "over the Internet" was "is it reliable?"

So let's make it quick!

It's back!!
I have a bunch of Xnet connections around the country at different offices and I monitor them all online.

Was on dialup and saw them all come back on so swapped my dialup cable for the ethernet one!

Thats the first time in 12 or so months I've had an issue, as long as it is isolated I'm still very happy with WxC :-)

Oh and I see I did beat you to post radiotech :-p

*I must of been too slow unplugging my DSL filter and plugging in my backup...dialup.

It seems to be happenning in "phases"..

Mine (I'm in Churton Paerk, Wellington) has just gone from about 10:30am onwards, and just got back up a few minutes ago...

Of course tried calling their helpdesk on my mobile (I'm on Fusion and thus my VFX/phone lines went dead) and couldn't even get to 0800123123 (couldn't even reach the number on my mobile - sort of an invalid number tone and not even ringing!).. Had to dial their direct number in Auckland. But of course I was "put in the queue" and didn't manage to talk to anyone, waited for about 20+ minutes and my ADSL line went back up before I hung up of the call to tech support.

ADSL still down here in Wellington. Phones too (as on fusion). Cannot get through to the technical response number using neighbour's phone.

I'm in Lower Hutt - connection went down around 10:30, and came back up a few minutes ago. The errors appear to have been ppp-related (unable to connect to PPPoA server, or PPP authentication failed). The DSL connection was rock solid the entire time.
