Batman:

has this eternal deal actually ended now?

Yes, gone burger.

I had the deal for a year, $50 for Sport, HD, MySky+. I now pay $109.80. I can drop that by $25 to $85, thats not too bad. I could save another $5 by downgrading to MySky thats just a reduction in recording time, so $79.80.

I think $79.80 for Starter, Sport, MySky and HD is not bad at all. Or in my case Sport, with an added convenience of recording and FTA in the same STB. Ive read at GZ that $75 to $80 is a bit of a sweet spot.

Now that deal has gone, does that mean prices have also gone.

I signed up to deal a few weeks ago for Basic, Sport, HD and MySky for $49 approx. Now ive just got next months bill and its $97.98. Seems like its been changed to there new pricing structure. Even though not what I signed up for.

Is this normal? I thought id still get the $49 deal for next 12 months. As what I signed up for.

You need to call Sky and tell them this is not what I signed up for

Sounds like a mistake, the contract says you get the pricing for 12 months

Yeah, I was thinking that sounds like you're being billed for two months at once.

I paid first month when installed 3 weeks ago. So should be up to date and this is the first bill ive seen.

I think they just stuffed it all up. As when I look at my account on Sky web site says im on there new package structure and have Soho and channels I never signed up to.

But of cause you ring them to sort it and there is no one on the phone. Tell you to email and will take 5 days to reply... top service :-(

I had Sky installed on Friday under the old package, but was given Soho free. The installer said anyone who keeps the Sky basic full package gets Soho

I'm currently on that exact deal. My online statement just arrived and tells me they are adding Soho for no extra charge.

I'm on the deal (have been since May last year), and I've had Soho added for free.

About to ring and cancel Sky though. Wonder if they will try and retain me (I doubt it).

Worth asking the question. They should try, a temporary discount etc.

They will offer you a 3 month discount, on sports/movies if I recall correctly.
