Wonder how many will cancel channels for the two weeks as:

"No changes will be made to customers subscriptions who already subscribe to unlocked channels (and standard channel charges will continue to apply to those customers during the unlocked period)."

I’m not able to as only put Sports and Movies on Monday (though got movies for $15 a month, max period 3 months until full price) so haven’t had for one month minimum.

Will have a look at SoHo and Rialto during free period, see if anything of interest.

And there is all the box sets on Soho and movies on Rialto for download.  If you havent Game of Throned then theres 6x10 eps to binge over Xmas.  More appropriate in snowy climes rather than sunny ones tho.....

I think its a good move. It can only be about added value, and that will need to be a regular thing. A Fanpass deal this weekend as well

Good to see you bothered with the details. No adult and no PPV. You are out of luck.

Looked forward to having the movie channel again, however having waited for something good to watch for 12 days, the free deal has had the misfortunate effect of confirming why I dropped it a few years ago. Would have thought Sky might have put on some better quality movies for this promotion than the usual fluff. Just my opinion, understand everyone has their own taste.

Enjoyed Molly's Game and Spiderman Homecoming. Wouldn't have watched as I don't usually have the time for movies but ad-funded television has been even more dreary than I remember over the Xmas break.

A Quiet Place is supposed to be good but didn't have the time. Maybe I will watch tomb raider tomorrow but I suspect the cricket will trump that idea.

Same here. I've been underwhelmed by the veriety. If recorded a couple for my granddaughter so it will be interesting to see if they play after the cutoff.

I wonder if it's because we have more entertainment options available now, as opposed to "back in the day"?

Confirmed I'm not missing anything by not having movies.
Nothing to watch and no time to watch it anyway.

Most block blusters make it to Sky Movies.

Maybe people just don’t like movies in general.

I put it on 2 to 3 months then cancel as have seen most of what want to see, wait another 6 months or so for new content then rinse and repeat.

I enjoyed The Snowman this time around.

The only thing I actually wanted to watch was on Rialto, and that was "The Death of Stalin" and it wasn't available over the subject period. I had seen half of it on a flight and wanted to see the rest, but not enough to hire it on iTunes.....

Does make me wonder how much Sky makes on the 'extra' channels like Rialto and Rugby. Since I get SoHo as part of the new arrangement from last year, it would be nice if you got either Rialto or Rugby as well as SoHo for having 'The Full Package" (Starter+Entertainment+Sport+Movies).

I guess the plan was for people to see what they were missing. Most will probably say "not much", but they may snag a few increased subscriptions.

Like others, I found the addition of Movies exciting...until I found little to watch.

I managed to record a couple of movies that were on in the middle of the night, but actually, it confirmed my suspicions that Movies isn't worth paying for...

We watched a couple of movies, but not enough to justify the monthly cost that goes with it. I'll stick with basic and sport thanks, for now.

But what did disappear rather quietly was the kids channel Disney XD (was for some, on channel 103)

The mister 9 in our house was a bit disappointed by this.

A quick google search came across this from Sky TV

https://skytv.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3988

Effectively, it's been merged with the Disney channel, so there were 3 Disney channels (Disney, Disney XD & Disney Junior) but now there are only 2 (Disney & Disney Junior)
