Just got a letter from Sky saying they're raising prices. Should be about $1.20 extra a month (same as Telecom, really).
Anyone else notice that Sky only seems to raise the price when Telecom does?

clevedon: I can't see the point of starting a thread complaining over a price rise for something that is a Luxury. Vote with your wallet if is causing financial hardship. The % rise is even miles below the annual inflation rate that is associated with the CPI.
theboxseat: Just like Telecom
and the beauty of it all is that both are being greedy
Their costs have not increased, even though they cite inflation
To elaborate; for them to be affected by inflation, they would need to be paying higher wages and higher fuel costs.
Well we know that they are not paying higher wages!
Most of their "on site" work is done by contractors so fuel costs do not come into it
Nope, both are just price gouging
The really disgusting thing, of course, is that these monopolistic companies, feel that, in these recessionary times, they are entitled to a pay increase at a time when all the rest of us are having our "real incomes" reduced.
Don't bother writing to your MP, those boys are in the same club as the these two monsters!
