Maybe you have to wait until your payment is due. I had to update my card recently and my NZ Mastercard still worked

It appears Mastercard is OK, its a change of policy regarding Visa payments in Argentina.

I signed up to India using my SmartDNSProxy VPN service, used my Wise card and for the NZD equivalent of GBP14 pounds have a 12 month sub to YT Premium

So maybe it's a Visa thing and a Mastercard would work? It's not accepting my Wise card either as its a Visa Debit. If it is just a Visa/Argentina thing then I might have to wait until it expires and try different country.

That's what I'm thinking too. I'm going to try a Bonfire (Mastercard) Card and see if that changes things.

Bonfire card didn't work (possibly because of security measures). Ended up switching from Argentina to Turkey using same Visa card. Family account. No issues so far (starts Feb 23).

rscole86: I've not received an email.

Out of curiosity, what card do you have?

I got the email today, advising I needed to update my NZ card, so changed to Turkey using the same NZ Visa.

Finally tried this out, and for some reason I'm getting some funky results out of the windscribe app, I select Turkey, but it is giving me Canada. Weird.

You could try India but depending on your VPN you may get Singapore or the UK instead. I ended up moving to the Philippines as I couldn't get my VPN to work on either Turkey or India and the Philippines was the next cheapest country that I could access.

I gave up on windscribe, couldn't get it to appear as Turkey at all, ended up using Norton VPN which came with my subscription and worked first time.

I couldn't however get the payment to authorise, simply kept rejecting, tried several cards, set up a turkey payment profile etc, but no dice. Gave up and went with premium lite for about $7/mth. Don't want / need music, simply want to get rid of the ads

Think Windscribe & Turkey is a common issue. Some members over on Cheapies ended up buying other Turkey locations to get it to work (though that was for Netflix). In regard to the payment issue, I had to delete all other payment profiles and addresses to get Turkey to work (Google acc).

Ahhh good to know. I saw somewhere about having to delete payment profiles. I guess that would mean I lose my credit card off Google pay and my NZ credit from the playstore.
