We're watching Netflix using UnBlockUS and playing it through a Windows 7 HTPC running Chrome and Silverstripe.

Subtitles don't show for any of the foreign language films I've tried - including "The Intouchables" and "Instructions Not Included".

I've gone through changing the settings back and forth in the player, and altering the sutitle appearance for my account - with no luck.

I've tried using Internet Explorer, but still not subtitles.

Has anyone else come across this/ know how to fix it?

robjg63: I dont use unblock-us, I use unotelly.
But a quick google shows unblock-us has the facility to block subtitles like unotelly.

Check the unblock-us help pages.
Here is one that sounds like you:

Perfect, thank you.

For anyone else who lands here looking for a solution to this issue:

Under "Step 3" on the UnBlock US homepage there is an option to choose the Netflix region *and* whether captions are supported. Change that and you're good to go.
