Sigh... Buy Now link has a dicksmith.com.au logo (although it goes to .co.nz). Meanwhile, the NZ Nexus 6 page has been updated with a "Buy Now" button, which redirects to an "unavailable in your country" message. Do people test these things?!

Noel Leeming page redirects to a Cubify 3d printer when you click buy now. No buy now button on The Warehouse page. Jb HiFi is the only one with a price, which is $59, but no way to actually purchase it.

At $59 dollars, this is about a $11 dollar premium over the current price on Amazon, with current exchange rate and GST taken into effect. Shipping cost not taken into effect.

DSE Link works, and appears you can purchase - $61
JB Link Works, says you can buy now - $59
Warehouse Link says coming soon.
Noel Leeming Link goes to Chromecast buy now page, but when you click Buy Now it goes to a page for 3D printers.

Checked - some JB stores have stock available now - so going in to a JB or DSE may be the way to get it if you are wanting it now.

Edit - while the Buy Now link is up on the JB page, it does not appear to take you to their 'Shop' page to actually add it to a cart, and the DSE page takes you on a round and round loop too. Maybe no-one wants to actually sell it?

KiwiNZ: PB Tech have them $67.85

Must be parallel imports. They will have to take a hit on those prices now I think.

Why does the Google Chromecast webpage for NZ say price includes VAT?

Update: The * on the page also goes to a note about it including VAT instead of GST. [Edit: Bob saw it too!]

I would've preferred a direct from Google link, but it's a good step I guess. Also, it seems a bit over priced given last time I ordered a lot (4) it worked out sub $50 a piece after shipping and exchange rate.

Yep - they have had them for quite a while. Not sure about the pricing history...

Does streaming to a Chromecast hand a token over to the Chromecast which then streams direct from the source, allowing you to put your phone to sleep once initiated, or does the link always go through the phone?

Am I correct in assuming that this New Zealand version also comes baked with Google US DNS?  So no iPlay through VPN (without router configuration)?
