No, that's not the case. Normally the charging voltage doesn't rise to anything useful until around 3000 RPM.

A car fitted with an alternator will charge at idle speed.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Frozen, just meaning landlords can't increase it. You still have to pay rent if that's what you were asking.

It appears hairdressers are now essential services, if this ad is anything to go by.

We need some very obvious, widely-publicised smackdowns to make sure people get the message...

Its actually safer to do the supermarket or pharmacy run now. Less people, enforcement/help re the 2 metres etc. Yet yesterday afternoon, Liquor stores full and crammed together as supermarkjets prpobably were as well

As I said on Twitter yesterday. People going out in a hurry to hang out with friends, drinking the last one at pubs is an example.

It is not like the virus was dormant until 25 March 23:59 pm. That was the moment everyone had to stop and reset. Up until then the virus was very much active and you wouldn't know it. So many idiots cramming into bars, liquor stores and other places. Unbelievable.

just wait until they end the lockdown. the chaos - i mean parties would start from when they are "set free" and last 3 days.

Is there anyone signed up to Neighbourly who can post a followup notifying them about it? Failing that, is there a reporting address/site for this? Not wanting to crucify them too much, but, sheesh...

As the thread is getting very long - perhaps we should start a new one after 11.59pm - 2019 Novel Coronavirus Covid-19 Discussion (Lockdown Edition) anyone?

I'd still prefer splitting it a bit, politics, medical discussion, technical stuff (DIY masks, that sort of thing), mental health care for people in isolation, something like that, to lessen the load of this giant all-in-one thread. Unless you work in IT and are constantly online there's just too much to read at once if you're checking once or twice a day.

Maybe @freitasm could rename the button "Browser stress test".

Sure will

"According to a report on Monday by RTHK, Hong Kong’s public broadcaster, residents said hospitals in Wuhan had refused to test patients who showed symptoms. Kyodo News in Japan reported at the weekend that a local doctor said the number of cases had been manipulated before President Xi Jinping’s visit earlier this month, prompting the beginning of “a mass release of infected patients”.
