Hamilton is back in business. *sigh

Why was Vettel not able to close in on Hamilton! 3 sets vs 2 sets and still miles behind

Remember when Hamilton squealed like a little girl "He hit me!, he hit me!" when Rosberg clipped him last year??

Now it is all OK when he does it??

Hamilton is a cheat.

Period!!

I don't know who said with a 45 point lead it's over. 2 races later it's 9 points. Anyway, the season is still long. It's Hamilton's title to win now. Unless Vettel (or maybe Rosberg) repeatedly defeats him. Or Lewis' car repeatedly breaks down - which would be unlikely.

If I were Rosberg I'd start doing snapchat with Vettel to do some deals.

Cheat or not, I said he does this to Rosberg all the time. Rosberg needs to be a bit more cunning.

dan:

no way -  lewis was to the right of the racing line by quite a bit into the first corner, on purpose im sure, later blaming it as "understeer" when he touched Nico  :) THEN forced him off.

/me orders a  rosberg cap :P

Thats how I se it, a video on formulal1.com shows there is plenty of room, they are side by side, so he pushes him off. Understeer is off course the excuse to use.

Rosberg and Hamilton are as bad as each other for it, they both do it to each other... I don't know who started it first, but often they're cleaner with other racers.

Humble guys don't dominate in sport. Ever seen Federer/Muhammad Ali interviews? It's all about how I did this and how I didn't do that and how I should have won.

He's not a cheat. Arrogant yes. If he's cheating he would be penalised.

Where did humble come from? No one mentioned humble. Add whiner to his list of attributes

The last 2 races shows me that when Rosberg is behind the crowd, he is unable to force his way through. Well Monaco may be harsh because the average person won't be able to pass. Rosberg is not capable of beating Hamilton all things being equal. In life it's usually never equal, so there may be hope, or Rosberg could go backward even faster. Not looking good ... go Vettel!

It also indicated that the Mercedes isn't quite so good if it's forced to follow other cars for a while.  Some of these teams don't have a top class aero package, but are packing a motor with some serious herbs now, so on certain high speed straight tracks they can be a handful to pass if you do happen to find yourself stuck behind them.

Umm when Hamilton starts from anywhere from the pitlane upwards he finishes on the podium or there or thereabouts. So one can follow fine and the other just can't. Still, the season is long. I don't think we're even halfway there. Still in the first half. Anything can happen. But it's not looking good the way it is ... go Vettel! [Ferrari have forgotten how to win. Melbourne, Canada, beh, wrong decisions/tactics every time]

I don't follow that, excuse the pun!  The Merc has shown in this and other races that when its not in front it struggles. All F1 cars do, but the Merc loses all its massive edge. been the same for both drivers.

Ferrari have made a great leap forward, hope the continues, and go RBR.

I don't see much between Rosberg and Hamilton.

Many drivers have come through the grid. They don't pass 18 cars in a row, it takes luck, a fast car, strategy and off course a safety car is a great help. Ive seen both Rosberg and Hamilton following cars and the car is so much different than when in front, it becomes a top 6 car. In front its two levels above the rest

It is clear that the Merc DOES struggle with passing through the pack, it should be faster and better at overtaking similar to how the Ferrari has been but struggles... I think the car is amazing in clean air and can utilise the clean air better but it suffers more with dirty air and can't generate the same level of downforce as it can... makes passing harder.  I would imagine that if the Ferrari can get in front (and not screw up their pit strategy) then the Merc may have trouble passing now if it has to follow; lower down it would get through the midfield easily but probably struggle against the Williams onwards as they have fast engines now and either slippy aero or sticky aero.
