quickymart: “The French researcher in question was in possession of confidential information on his electronic device from Los Alamos National Laboratory — in violation of a non-disclosure agreement — something he admitted to taking without permission and attempted to conceal,” she said.

That's a very convenient charge that pretty much anyone who's ever worked for a part of the USG (or even a business in general) would be guilty of - trawl through their phone and laptop and there's bound to be at least one thing on there somewhere that was technically in violation of an NDA or confidentiality agreement.

More insults from Baby Donald ...

BBC News - Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris lose security clearance after Trump order

today

US President Donald Trump revoked security clearances from his previously defeated Democratic election rivals, Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton, as well as a number of other former officials and critics.

Trump said in February he was revoking security clearance for his predecessor Joe Biden. His order confirmed that decision, adding that he was also revoking the security clearance of "any other member" of the Biden family.

"I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access classified information," Trump's memorandum read.

Former US presidents and top security officials usually keep their security clearance as a courtesy.

While I remember seeing people saying the same thing about Biden, at least I can say he wasn't an angry old man with a huge chip on his shoulder out for revenge at anyone who (apparently) "wronged" him. Plus he (mostly) had advisers around him who knew what they were doing.

Most of Trump's staff have it pretty good at the moment. No matter what happens they can just shrug and say, 'Hey, don't blame me, I was just following orders. You elected the guy'.

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

Yes, that was a continual refrain at the Nuremberg trials.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

When Trump says "America is back", it's because his twisted psyche only sees the world as one person's gain is exactly balanced by another person's loss (zero-sum game), control are only achieve by coercion and threats, power imbalance based on fear is needed.

After WWII, when America was great, many politicians weren't perfect, for example U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau Jr. proposed turning Germany into a "pastoral state" with no industry to prevent it from waging war again.

But higher angels eventually ruled.

β€œOur policy is directed not against any country or doctrine but against hunger, poverty, desperation and chaos.”

β€œIt is idle to think that a Europe left to its own efforts... will not produce the same political and social dislocation which we saw after the last war.”

β€œThe United States should do whatever it is able to do to assist in the return of normal economic health in the world.”

β€” George C. Marshall, U.S. Secretary of State, 1947

β€œThe seeds of totalitarian regimes are nurtured by misery and want. They spread and grow in the evil soil of poverty and strife.”

We must embark on a bold new program... for the improvement and growth of underdeveloped areas.”

β€” Harry S. Truman, 1947, announcing the Truman Doctrine

β€œWe helped rebuild Japan and Germany not just to avoid future wars, but because it was the right thing to do.”

β€” General Lucius D. Clay, U.S. military governor of Germany (paraphrased from postwar remarks)

Trump is a severely damaged human. Truman, Marshall, and others believed that peace and stability depended on rebuilding former enemies β€” not humiliating them.

Aka a dictator. Wants what HE wants, like Hitler, like Putin, like all of the rest of them. The citizens make a country, they vote the leader in. Or they don't/arent allowed/scripted election. It like 3 or 4 people playing global monopoly, the other billions of people/voters arent a factor worth considering.

Trump doxes his own lawyer.

People named in JFK assassination documents are not happy their personal information was released: AP News

Sensitive personal information including Social Security numbers was revealed in the newly unredacted John F. Kennedy assassination documents released this week, and that is not sitting well with the people affected.

Joseph diGenova, a former campaign lawyer for President Donald Trump, was among those whose personal information was disclosed. He said he is planning to sue the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration for violating privacy laws over concerns about identity theft.

Sorry but I found this too funny to not share:

In all seriousness though: https://edition.cnn.com/2025/03/22/us/green-card-visa-holders-deportation-fears-cec/index.html

Deciding it wasn’t safe to leave the US and attend her father’s funeral in Cameroon a few weeks ago was heartbreaking, a 40-year-old green card holder in the Midwest told CNN this week.

On top of her grief, watching recent news and social media posts on her phone has left her feeling devastated and uncertain about her life as an immigrant in this country, she said.

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and get my boy a US passport? He does have citizenship, after all...

Border Patrol Has Seized More Eggs Than Fentanyl So Far This Year: NewsWeek

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has seized more egg products from United States borders this year than it has seized pounds of fentanyl.
...
One of the reasons President Donald Trump gave for placing tariffs on Canadian and Mexican goods was to stop what he sees as the flow of fentanyl coming into the U.S. from the northern and southern borders.

The president swore to lower egg prices "on Day 1" of his presidency. In early March, the cost of a dozen eggs reached an all-time high of US $8.17 / NZD $14.26.

Gawd, the poor guy.  A friend of mine is in this position by dint of being unexpectedly born there and, despite never having been back since, has the USG take a portion of his income as taxes, open access to his financial records, etc.
