South Korea is very close to North Korea. The North has an enormous number of artillery dug in and ranged on Seoul, capital of South Korea. If Trump gets a step wrong the consequences are potentially very serious.

Forget Syria. Watch the Korean peninsula.

One certainly would hope he doesn't go on YouTube and watch videos of north Korea stirring his emotions and causing him to launch a few dozen missiles ...

I don't believe for a second that Trump ordered any actions based on empathy for the plight of others, or because he thought it was morally necessary. He may often act rashly based on his emotions, but I have seen nothing to indicate he ever has an emotion about anything other than himself.

Scary? Not really. Its his personality. It doesn't govern the US or the world, as his policies that were skittled by his party and the judiciary proved.

Syria. Is this Trumps escapade? No. Its based on advice, and is widely supported. And as a military issue, its very minor.

PRNK. Moving ships there isn't also his escapade, and its minor. There are always ships in and around there. Its posturing, by KJU as usual.

But its great for the media.

I promised myself not to participate here again but I could not let this rubbish pass. I am in a family with a very long military history of sacrifice. Your post is both obnoxious and mostly garbage.

I strongly suggest you go and learn about what ANZAC day means before spouting bilge like this.

Who cares about who in your family did what? Does this make you a Professor of History?

Consider the harassment and pathetic treatment of Valerie Morse, who chose to exercise her freedom of expression by burning a NZ flag at an ANZAC parade. Whatever one thinks of that act, it was lovely to read how the Court of Appeal originally upheld the basis of Morse's conviction for offensive behaviour. Justice Arnold ruled that one of the reasons her conviction should be upheld was because if the police hadn't arrested her, some of the jingoistic and self-righteous crowd in that gathering who by virtue of either having fought in a war or having family who did would decide that they were the judge, jury and executioner and give Ms Morse the bash. Yes, this really was in the decision.

Does this kind of attitude remind you of your reply? Your family fought and this somehow just entitles you to post a pile of conclusory verbiage whilst complaining about someone spewing bilge? FWIW, the Supreme Court eventually overturned all the lower courts' rubbish decisions. Perhaps you might like to have a read of that and learn something. Your type of reply is not significantly better than threatening to give someone the bash because their worldview doesn't appeal to your so called respect for history and sacrifice.

Looks like it wasn't even the Tangerine Don's idea to bomb Syria.

Which probably makes things even worse.

Oh, Ivanka's husband, was apparently a card-carrying Democrat until all this "Trump for President" biz.

So you actually have no argument. You've actually managed to prove Rikkitic's point about the sort of pathetic jingoism (my characterisation) and sentiments that she finds uncomfortable perfectly. Congratulations.

Wrong, I am not prepared to enter a debate to feed your ego. After this I will ignore your pointless attacks.

More high quality arguments coupled with personal attacks. How predictable.

An alternative view of the events in Syria. These folks must have interesting dreams and tea break discussions in their version of reality

Cheers - interesting read and viewpoints re Trump.

Also found these quotes which are unreal/funny if true:

In 1969, Nixon got so sloshed that he ordered a nuclear attack against North Korea (in anticipation of just such an event, his defense secretary had supposedly warned the military not to act on White House orders without approval from either himself or the secretary of state).

LBJ, who scored the highest in that study that ranked the narcissistic tendencies of U.S. presidents, had the aggressiveness necessary to push through the Civil Rights Act, but he also didn't (or wouldn't) do an about-face to get the country out of Vietnam. When a group of reporters pressed him for an explanation of this, he reportedly unzipped his pants, pulled out his penis and declared, "This is why."

From the BBC

http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-39572902

"White House gaffe on Hitler and chemical weapons draws ire.

"White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has apologised after declaring that Adolf Hitler did not use chemical weapons during World War Two.

...

Critics pointed out gas was used to kill Jews and others in the Holocaust"

Mike, he has got credibility!!

"An enthusiastic supporter of the Syrian state and lifetime radical, Dr Anderson was convicted in 1990 over the 1978 Hilton Hotel bombing in Sydney, but acquitted the following year. He has travelled to Syria several times to meet with Assad."
