CNN: Jake Tapper lists dubious claims made by Trump

includes "Spygate"
claim: FBI planted spy
reality: FBI got reports of Russian links to Trump campaign. FBI reasonably sent over agents, who identified themselves as agents without any guise as anything thing else, to interview Trump campaign.
To paraphrase Trump "Sad"

Some interesting information regarding Trump investigating the FBI.

https://www.dailywire.com/news/30923/7-things-you-need-know-about-trumps-campaign-ben-shapiro

By Ben Shapiro, a conservative author who wrote a book on how universities brainwash students... Not an unbiased commentator.

I read the article and thought hmmmm, I read the authors bio and thought OK that is why it reads the way it does.

@MikeB4 @freitasm I have to admit, reading that article I didn't think it leaned one way or the other. Perhaps I'm just not up on all the facts, but it seemed fairly unbiased to me.

Genuine question: are you guys viewing this as a pro-Trump article? If so can you explain to me how it is pro-Trump, because I honestly don't see it.

They do say "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." One of the reasons is your enemies might tell you uncomfortable truths, that your friends won't.

Various Trump supporters have been rightly accused of living in a news bubble, such as relying on Fox News as their only source of TV news.

As long as materials don't contain any intentionally misrepresentations or leaps of logic, It's worth checking out.

Trump has had a memorial coin minted, celebrating the 2018 Peace Talks.

Sure - on the surface it's not one of the far right's typical gushing endorsements.

I think it's giving some legitimacy to Trump's batsh*t crazy consipracy theory about being "spied" on, by discussing the issues surrounding the legality of Trump etc and how this or that "could" have happened etc.

Trump - the batsh*t crazy president has launched a verbal attack via twitter, attacking his security services by alleging they colluded with his political opposition, to create a diversion based on wild conspiracy theory he dreamed up (or saw on Fox).  It's an unprecedented attack on democracy. Doesn't matter that reasonable people would see it for what it is, unreasonable people also get to vote.

So, here’s the bottom line, as always: we just don’t know enough at this point. We don’t know if the FBI targeted Trump illegitimately; we don’t know that the Steele dossier came out thanks to Team Obama manipulation. We do know, however, that Trump has every right to look into these issues.

Yup - we don't know if the Loch Ness Monster exists either - and people have every right to look for that too.

"We come in peace":

"There was some talk about the Libyan model last week," Pence said in an interview on Fox News. "As the President made clear, this will only end like the Libyan model ended if Kim Jong Un doesn't make a deal."

That worked well, didn't it?

That coin is never going to be used now that he canned the summit with North Korea.

And Trump is going to have a lot of work ahead to convince China that the US did the right thing. Provoking KJU with threats before the summit, then using KJU's expected response as justification to pull the pin wasn't a smart move.

“We are attempting to make sense of what, precisely, President Trump means,” - South Korean presidential spokesman Kim Eui-kyeom

Nope - it's not something "lost in translation" - it's a very weird letter Trump sent:

Always going to be complicated - if North Korea was an island nation somewhere in the Pacific Ocean the talks would still be on.

It will never happen and it is the same thing with Iran and the US actions in Israel. Peace is not something Trump or the US desires.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

The silver lining is that we won't have to wake up to any more sad news tomorrow morning, because Bolton will convince Trump to strike North Korea, and the world will have burned in nuclear fire while we sleep. Ta-da! The Aristocrats!

Trump pulls out and makes it look like someone's fault. Because that is what he does.
