Brandon Fellows smoking marijuana in an office at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021

I was about to praise him for using a clever disguise.

I thought his beard was a mop he dyed with red food coloring and strapped to his face.

In a day of making all the wrong choices, the only things he did right was not hold up his driver's license in one hand, and a sign saying "I've got a bomb" in the other while getting photographed.

This bit is what got me:

Yes, MTG, you stay classy all the way 🙄

Of course, if Biden had done the same thing, my God, we'd never, ever hear the end of it from her (and all the MAGA crowd).

Very professional attire 🙄 having said that, I thought there was some standard of dress they had to follow?

So much for Mike Johnson telling his team to "be civil" and "behave".

Vanity Fair: Surprise: Mark Robinson, Trump’s Pick for North Carolina Governor, Wants to “Go Back to the America Where Women Couldn’t Vote”
...
from 2020 shows Robinson publicly declaring, “I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn’t vote.”
...
A 2017 Facebook post trivializing domestic violence, in which Robinson wrote, “So if someone beats the bird dog hell of their spouse at the mall….is it still ‘Domestic Violence?’”

A 2018 Facebook post in which he wrote, “So if a woman who ‘transitioned’ into a ‘man’ marries and abuses a man who ‘transitioned’ into a ‘woman’ is it still ‘violence against a woman?’ Will the feminist raise hell over it? I’m asking for a British Cigarette.”

Memes Robinson shared mocking the victims of Harvey Weinstein and Bill O’Reilly.

A post in which Robinson claimed that “feminism was planted in the ‘Garden,’ watered by the devil, and is harvested and sold by his minions”; one in which he wrote that “lesbianism and feminism” are destroying the family; another saying feminists are “as bad, if not worse, than racist[s]”; and one declaring that any man who refers to himself as a feminist is “about as MANLY as a pair of lace panties.”

The declaration that people who support equal rights for women are “sexist, hairy armpit having, poo-poo hat wearing pinkos.”

A series of remarks in which Robinson called women “wh0res,” “witches,” and “rejected drag queens,” and women who breastfeed in public “shameless attention hogs.”

Equating the LGBTQ+ community with “filth.”

Quoting Hitler and basically telling people to get over the Holocaust.

Saying he doesn’t trust Muslims.

"The New Republic" is a conservative magazine.

The New Republic: RFK Jr. Couldn’t Have Given Worse Jeffrey Epstein Answer if He Tried

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. says it’s OK that he hung out with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein a couple times because he also was friendly with plenty of other questionable characters.

The independent presidential candidate offered the staggering defense during a Wednesday appearance on the podcast Flagrant. Kennedy has previously admitted that he had flown on Epstein’s private plane twice.

“I’m in New York for most of my life. You run into everybody in New York,” Kennedy said. “I mean, I know Harvey Weinstein. I knew Roger Ailes. I knew, O.J. Simpson came to my house. Bill Cosby came to my house.”

Kennedy insisted that he wasn’t aware he was hanging out with a bunch of sexual abusers and an accused murderer. “You don’t know these people are swamp creatures until all this stuff comes out,” he said.

But at least with Epstein, who killed himself in prison before he could stand trial for sex trafficking minors, Kennedy said he “did see the creepiness immediately.”

T.S. Eliot: "This is the way the world ends: Not with a bang but a whimper."

Raw Story: Ron Johnson: 'We'd be far better off if we never passed another piece of legislation'

US Senator Ron Johnson (Republican) argued against "effectively" governing and said the Senate should never pass another piece of legislation.

During a Monday interview on Real America's Voice, Johnson was asked about a bill that temporarily funded the government.

"You know, internally here, inside the bubble, you hear Republicans say, you know, we need to get a result," Johnson complained. "You know, we need to effectively govern. To me, that's almost code words for we've got to do Democrat-lite."

Johnson said he preferred a version of conservatism that believed "we have to stop this madness."

"So there's a fair amount of stopping that's being required here, and I think we'd be far better off if we never passed another piece of legislation," he remarked.
