At what cost? And how did he achieve this? Anyone who's observed the man can surely tell that he's happy to use any tactics to get what he wants.

He's also well-known for his significant exaggerations of his wealth and business successes more generally - yet again traits that match nicely with this definition!

As well as that film that's just been released on the internet, I also recommend the documentary "Trumped" about the battle locals in a rural part of Scotland fought to try to stop the building of Trump's golf course there.

Watching the GOP in self-destruct mode is very entertaining.

Mainly ignored by NZ media is the other spectacularly difficult situation they've found themselves in - due to the untimely (or timely) death of Justice Antonin Scalia.

The thought of no longer having a conservative gerrymander in the Supreme Court is so clearly distressing to GOP candidates - that rather than keeping a sock in their stupid mouths, they're trying to shout-down Obama's constitutional right (or obligation) to nominate and appoint a replacement. That they're doing this is poetic beautiful hypocrisy - Scalia would be turning over in his grave.

He's achieved spectacular success and spectacular failures including multiple bankruptcies. What he did start out with though was a significant amount of inherited wealth. Some have done the math and concluded that if he'd just invested that in the managed funds he'd be a richer man today. So yes, some would argue that on aggregate, he's not that successful. To me it seems he started out wealthy, and stayed wealthy. Being kind, you could say the failures taught him some lessons, but the game was always tilted in his favour. He's no Gates, Buffett, Branson etc

My understanding that there isn't any restriction on discussing Hitler and NAZI Germany as History.

The restriction is using Hitler/NAZIs as an arguing point in a completely inappropriate comparison.

I guess, at this point, I will be proved right or wrong:)

Anyway... I have seen a couple of comparisons between Trump and Hitler lately.

I don't see them as valid.

They both wrote books.

Hitler wrote Mein Kampf, which was mainly about racial superiority and the rights to use power over the 'inferiors'.

Trump has written a few books too - mainly about getting rich.

Hitler had an organized army of thugs, that were already using violence, before he came to power (Brown Shirts).

Trump just seems to have a bunch of supporters.

I know, we can learn lessons from History. But, I also don't believe History repeats.

When really bad things happen in the future, it will unravel in a different way.

Trump has said a lot of appalling things, But, I think most of the other Presidential candidates are equally as appalling, if you look under the surface.

Hopefully, the American public are finally starting to get fed up with their political system.

Perhaps, they might start to push for real change.

It's interesting the amount of FUD that the Establishment is throwing up around Trump. They're not enamoured of a man in the Oval Office who they do not own.

Not disimilar to the FUD being thrown up by the EU and their fellow travellers in the UK government who cry that the sky will fall if Britain leaves the EU.
