Doesn't matter.  If Republicans didn't have some trivial comment like that to pick up on and project about, they'd just make something up as usual.

This thread probably became more "biased" against Trump because more-or-less everybody entering discussion with a pro-Trump stance ended up eventually making comments that breached FUG and got themselves thrown out/banned.  Yet here we are, those with more "liberal" views somehow managed to behave themselves - avoiding racist/sexist behaviour, ad-hom attacks, and linking to known alt-right extremist white supremacy sites when asked for references to support their argument.  That, and in New Zealand and most of the rest of the world, Trump's not a very popular person.

Probably a few more right-leaning contributors to GZ forums "gave up", but more-or-less not because they thought Trump is okay, but just that some predictions, that he'd start WWIII or destroy the planet were exaggerations.  But as good things take time, so do some bad things, and unfortunately IMO the legacy of Trump's presidency will have lasting negative impact on the entire world.  That's why I care, if the damage he's doing was limited to the US only, that's mainly your problem.  But it isn't.

Correct in all counts. The bias here is because all the vocal Trump supporters were also racists or plain simple nazi-sympathisers bigots who were not afraid of showing their true nature in this topic - even people who have been on Geekzone for years and mostly behaved ok, until they had the chance to show their true colours, gaining a ban in the process.

I cannot say for certain that I hate Trump as I have not met him, (hate is a very strong term and attitude towards someone) I can say I despise his politics, his morals, his pubic persona, his ideologies, his complete lack of compassion and empathy, his sexism, racism, xenophobia, his anapirophobia, his Misogyny, his greed, his complete lack of business ethics..........

nathan: Waste of time.  Corruption is bipartisan.  Donald Trump will come out of this totally exonerated, vindicated.  This is simply wasting precious time where Democrats could be creating a positive vision for America, and solving the real problems that got Trump elected in the first place.

I agree with most of this, but I'd put quotation marks around "totally exonerated, vindicated". It won't be true vindication obviously, but that's absolutely how he'll spin it. And his supporters will lap it up. @nathan I assume this is what you meant?

I only half agree with this. The Democrats certainly don't seem to have learned from past mistakes. But I think the we got Trump because the Republicans hamstrung Obama to such an extent that he couldn't achieve most of what he wanted to, they could then campaign saying that the Democrats didn't achieve anything.

Something people seem to forget, especially those on the right, is that Trump was the one who set the tone of the discussion. Yes, the 'liberal' media would have been critical of him from the start, but media are supposed to be critical of any new leader. Criticism is not attack if it is done fairly. Trump was the one who made it all personal. If his behaviour had been better, he would have been treated better.

Yep, his death will be the greatest thing he will ever do for the betterment of humanity.

Trump is - quite literally - a text-book Narcissist - he is never going to gain insight into his own "perfect" behaviour - he will die a "victim".

Trump is the main target for us (ie the people who inhabit GZ) but there are any number of others around the world these days that deserve the same attention but don't get it because (a) we don't live there and (b) they are not so much in the media so fly under the day-to-day radar.

Think Erdogan, Duterte, Bolsinaro, Putin, Kim Jong-un.

These people are as equally revolting as Trump if not more so and do a lot worse things to their citizens than he ever could. They also have less of an excuse because some of them are intelligent whereas he is not and is way out of his depth.
