I am struggling to get Chromecast to work properly through my Denon AVR1911 receiver.

The sound is OK, but the picture is flickering in and out of shot with green, red pink etc colour splashes.

Tried the standard and ultra versions. Same result.

All good on the TV itself and casts OK through my iPhone.

Interestingly when I reset the device there is a short period of time (15 seconds) when it is rebooting, the screen is stable. But after that its back to the flickering in and out of picture.

Tried all the HDMI ports to no avail. SAT/DVD/BD all working fine.

I'm wondering if it is a voltage issue. The Chromecast is using its factory mains adapter and not USB into AVR.

Help! I need for RWC.

Cheers

John

Well if it works ok on the TV itself and you have an ARC capable HDMI connection or optical tv audio out, then at least you have a work-around.

As to the problem itself, do any other devices show issues with using the HDMI inputs aka could it it be an issue with the HDMI board in the Denon going bad?

Voltage shouldn't be a problem if you are using the correct adapter, as it would just produce a similar input as USB.
