I've just moved into a new place (renting), and there is both a UHF aerial and sky dish on the roof.
The sky dish is connected to a jack inside the house, but the UHF aerial is not. A cable is run down the side of the house for the aerial, but is just fed under the house and isn't connected.
I asked an aerial installer if they could just switch over the cables at the jack inside the house, but after looking at the cable connected to the aerial (which had some tape around it) he declined due to poor cable quality and said he'd only do a new aerial installation.
My question is, do the aerial and dish likely share the same connector? I was thinking I could try and either disconnect the cable from the dish and run it across to the aerial, or remove the dish and replace it with the aerial.
