Over the weekend, I was browsing around at Harvey Norman, then I came across HP's Envy 15. It looks very nice and no doubt about the look/style, it's very MacBook Pro like. As the saying goes "imitation is the best form of flattery" as HP did not try anything to make it slightly different from Apple...
From the search that I can gather, for NZ market the model is HP Envy 15-1022TX which has Intel Core i7-720QM, 8GB ram, 15.6" 1920x1080, external DVD-burner with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 1GB.
It's screaming for my attention, even though Dell's Alienware M15x which has similar specs (I priced/configured one with 8GB ram and it has 1GB GDDR3 NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GTX 260M; at $4,989)
Both Dell Alienware M15x and HP Envy 15 are certainly looking more attractive when you break down the features-to-dollar comparing to Apple MacBook Pro 15 Best.
Shame thing is, there's a HP Envy 15 model with BluRay drive option in US. Anyone know if it is possible to source the same bundle/package in NZ?
