I am looking forward to Skinny's data plans. I like the XT network for it's data speeds, coverage and low latency. Signed up to this one time offer XT had in January last year where for $14 you will get 480MB data. About to expire in January so another cheap data plan running off the same network that serves me well is good news.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Always good to have one more option, and a good thing with CDMA's ongoing demise for telecom to keep their low spend customer base.

Odd. Thought Telecom may have decided to reuse their old 025 code.. Vodafone could have added new numbers in their 021 range by making some of their 6 digit numbers into 7 digits.. Heres hoping that the number format is 020 + 7 digits with all of them..

NSN length is a minimum and maximum of 9 for the 20 range so this means all numbers will be 7 digits.

I for one would be quite happy and so would of fone system installers who don't have to have convoluted ARE / LCR patterns. But then again this is the British way. No uniform national number length..

Some info that may (or may not) have been already been posted:

iPhone 3G/3GS/4 and 3G iPad 1&2 are supported with a skinny micro SIM.

You can choose a new number for $5.

Number: 204 (Skinny Only, Support), 08004754669 (Other Carriers, Support), 789 (Skinny Only, Voicemail Activation), 456 (Skinny Only, Phone Activation), 0800835344 (Repairs) or +64 3 3710866 (Roaming).

Skinny will support USSD (http://www.skinny.co.nz/ussd)

You can't call 0900 numbers on Skinny.

You can't divert your calls on Skinny.

You have to pay for the courier bag to get the phone repaired.

Phone numbers will be made inactive 12 months after the last top up. This means you will only be able to make emergency calls. You can reactivate your number by topping up $5 or more within 1 month from the date of suspension. However after 1 month of suspension, your phone number will expire.

Warranty periods are: Handset: 12 months from purchase, Battery: 6 months from purchase, In box accessories: 6 months from purchase.

Your mailbox gets locked if you enter the wrong PIN 5 times.

Photo or video messages can only be sent to NZ mobile numbers at the moment, but if you'd like to send a photo or video overseas, you can send it in an email.

We haven't turned on MMS (photo and video messaging) yet. We will let you know when you can start sending those.

By default there is 20 seconds of ringing before your calls go to your voicemail and no we can't change it.

You can buy a top up voucher from thousands of places around the country such as dairies, gas stations and supermarkets. You can top up as little as $5.

The websites IP (and port) is http://10.207.59.23:8080/ internally.

Automatic top-ups are supported.

Unlock is $30. Your unlock code will appear on your account page or it will be sent via e-mail if your phone is a Nokia.
