Iphone 6 Silver 64gb, open term and one off payment delivered.
Had a bit of wrangling, but good on Spark for stepping up and honoring the order after trying to change it to 24 months deferred payment.

It looks like theres plenty of stock for the 4.7 inch, and the main problem is the 6+. I was told by spark chat this morning that theres a 2 week delay as we all know by now. Hopefully it really is 2 weeks and doesnt stretch out to a month or more.

Has anyone who has not received their phone had any communication that they have not instigated from Spark about back orders?

I did not receive any information from Spark about back orders, in fact I never received any communication from them, I always had to be the one to ask about my status.

Piss poor customer service imo.

Yes ditto here.  They are saying they are emailing all those on backorder with an update - thought they would have done it by now, guess I am just hoping of hopes that there is a parcel coming, pfffttt.

Just got this from Spark:

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Yeah got the email.

Also filed an official complaint, hope they will do something about the situation.

The URL to the complaint form is here: https://www.spark.co.nz/form/1,8751,5473-204490,00.html

So, they admitted they stuffed up, but no phones available to replace mine, so I now have to wait until some more arrive.....who knows how long that will be.  Very very frustrating, but at least the CSR was good to deal with!

Mine is on the way back to CourierPost's Christchurch depot, which luckily is about 5 mins drive away so I'll be picking it up straight after work.  Hope they haven't stuffed up the size (inches or GB).

Mule - are you allowed to use the 16GB one until they send you a new one - I would and at least that would be something.

Didn't ask and I imagine that would not go down so well - asked them if there is some way they can help me out for the inconvenience, will see what they say.  Its annoying, but hey its only a phone in the end.

FYI: I had to pop into Spark on the way home (SIM wasn't activated correctly) and the guy in front of me was buying a 6 (not a 6 Plus), here in the little Spark shop in Whakatane. It looks like they're much more plentiful than we thought!

Edit: Seeing the 16/64 GB issues above, I should add that I have no idea which capacity or colour the guy was buying.

I'd treat it as a loaner as they've admitted they've stuffed up and as long as you don't destroy it they can send it back to apple for refurbishment
