Ragnor: Friends don't let friends use ISP provided email.
Abo: The sad thing is that people still use xtra email.
Yahoo must be giving this service away for free for Telecom to want to stick with it..
mattwnz: Anyone having problems with Spark email at the moment? I am currently getting the old popup box saying service is unavailable again for the last hour, and nothing on the spark network page. They seem to have change their network status system, as the icons on the homepage have disappeared, and if you click the new link, it takes ages to load the new status page.
Tivo upgrades to operate with the new OzTivo EPG, support and service. Over 400 performed here so far. See: www.hillcrest.net.nz

Yes, the "Service Status" link seems to be broken like a few other things at Telecom these days. It looks like there were so many "broken, working on it" icons, so often on the Telecom homepage, they've decided to hide them one layer done. Rather ironic that they're also now broken.

I wonder why noone from Spark has posted here about the ongoing problems with email. Very unusual for noone from an ISP to make any comment.

probably because the problems are out of Telecom's control so they wouldn't know what to say, other than the standard "our technicians are looking into the issue"
Problems now seem to be restricted to Yahoo's telecom service - the non Telecom yahoo service was fully restored a couple of weeks ago and hasn't exhibited any of the problems again.
Ragnor: Yes but... they don't have any responsibility to check/post on Geekzone because Geekzone is not an official Spark/Telecom support channel.
