Hi guys.

My mum is moving soon and wants to stick with Spark for Landline + Internet. She rung spark up but got told there was no connection at the new address, she got told she cant have a landline or broadband there. Looking on the address checker online, it is showing that she cant get any internet at her new place (Which she hasn't moved into yet), however its also showing she cant get it at her current address, which is wrong, so maybe that's just broken right now.

Anyway, she wants to keep a landline number, sadly she is old fashioned.

How much would it cost to install a new connection (Landline + Internet) at the new address, and is it possible to be done?

Checking on other ISP websites, is showing that she can get BigPipe/VF/TrustPower (The only other 3 I've looked at) at the new address, but Spark said it cant be done.

So basically, she wants to stay with spark, wants to keep her landline, but Spark says nothing is available at the new address. How much would it cost and can it be done?

Just looking for a ball park figure/info, based in WGTN.

Thanks!

This looks to be a simple address format issue....

OP was searching for address 18B out of possible 18A, 18B and 18C, however the Chorus system shows addresses of 18, 18B and 18 LF (Lower Flat). I have already confirmed with OP that the target unit is downstairs from 18B, so the 18 LF address seems to match the physical location.

Unfortunately, incorrectly formatted or legacy addresses are prevalent in the Chorus database so it does tend to make things more difficult.

At the end of the day I can see 3 working Chorus-supplied copper connections at 18 - therefore I don't see any issue getting the OP connected. We just need to work out which of the current occupants is soon to vacate - but I believe it will be the person in 18 LF.

Thanks,
Simon
