What is the standard rate for international data, such as visiting USA websites? I assume NZ national data is only for websites/IP addresses in New Zealand and doesn't count visiting overseas websites?

But billed over and on top of the combo plan prices as separate from national?

Or are they just referring to place/location of the mobile when using data?

Where have you seen a separation?

Are you sure you aren't thinking of mobile data roaming (using mobile when overseas)?

the second one.
It means you can use the data anywhere in NZ that has coverage (as opposed to only select locations like 2degrees zone data packs which can't be used outside of 2Degrees 'zones'))

Under their combo plans, they have a separate one for Love Bytes, and it says NZ and National data. The ones above make no mention of the term national data, leading me to think maybe this is Internet destination not where the mobile is used or why would they mention national data on the 200MB one and not the others?

Under standard rates on another page:39¢per MB NZ national data

I just want to clarify are they meaning where the mobile is used, or the route the data takes on the Internet? It's inconsistent as to what they mean by having national data on some and not other bits.

Cheers,
Gavin.

Okay, cheers for that guys Cool

I'm with XT at the moment, have been for years on pre-pay with 10c per MB to $1 for up to 10MB then, and no re-newel costs (if I change my plan it expires but under my old one I don't have to pay the full monthly rate unless I use it all). But Skinny looks attractive to throw in an hour of calling for $4 a week including the 60MB.

Hi

All our pricing refers to the cost of accessing data when you are in New Zealand - it doesn't matter where in the world the site is that you are downloading.

Skinny currently doesn't offer roaming data, so if you are outside New Zealand you cannot use Skinny to access data.

I have asked the team to remove the references to NZ National Data and just make it Data as you're right it is confusing.  It does make a difference for calls and texts so the same terminolgy would have been used across all three when the site was first setup.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Cheers

Paul
