I moved over to Skinny a couple of weeks ago, things generally work fine. I've recently had a couple of problems:

  • Saturday 16th July 18:35 I tried to make calls to a friend, it wouldn't call out
  • Same time above, I tried to send a text, but it wouldn't send. Incoming calls didn't work for a few minutes either. The text did send a minute or two later, I may have rebooted my phone
  • Saturday 17th July 17:37 I tried to make a call. The phone said it connected, and the call went through, but I couldn't hear anything. I rebooted the phone and tried again and it worked fine

My phone is a S4 GT-i9505 running Android 5.x. On Spark the phone was rock solid, no problems at all.

I'll of course call Skinny if this keeps happening, but I wondered if anyone else was having problems first, or if anyone had ideas how to diagnose what's going on. I don't know if it's network or phone, or some kind of incompatibility.

Today is Sunday the 17th of July?, Tomorrow is Monday the 18th of July, are you a time traveler?

I came from Spark to Skinny just over a year ago, never once had an issue. Calls work as normal, texts work as normal and data is just as fast.

It is more than likely related to Pokemon overloading the network than a problem with Skinny :)

Dates corrected.

Good to know. I expected it to be exactly the same as Spark in terms of network, I guess they have some of their own systems. Could just have been bad luck. 6:30pm in the suburbs is probably not a high load period. Maybe just my phone being weird, but it was perfect on Spark.
