Does anyone here know about new BB plans from Telecom? Trying to confirm something from a Telecom Phone Rep.

Do you mean "BB" as in BlackBerry plan, or as in "Broadband" plans?

Hope it increased caps as trying to get by on 40GB per month is so difficult.

Between the kids ipod touches, the ipod classic, the xbox 360/playstation3, the 2 desktops /1 laptop and associated software, the iphone 4 and ipad, the popcornhour network media player, the logitech remote controls, and keeping them all up to date and supporting all the net access, I'm having trouble keeping to 20 gig.

eg, just yesterday, steam downloaded a 500MB Civilization 5 update, without me knowing !! will have to stop that from happening.

I coordinate all my patches and things for the end of the 'usage month'. We don't really have broadband, it's a kneecapped service. It's like saying you have a ferrari because you get to drive someone elses for 5 minutes a month.

Doh!

Telecoms plans are really stale - no changes for some time now.

Look forward to some positive changes .

Lets put it this way, I probably use between 5-10gig only on youtube videos each month... Then there is always new steam games, updates for steam games (5-10gig I dunno).

Thats all legal stuff right there and its at 10-20gig already... (And I'm pretty sure that others use more on steam too).

I had to download 2 games last month, 13gigs for World of Warcraft Cata beta and Lord of the rings online which was 10gigs.

Its very easy to use up data... the notion that only people that use larger amounts of data might be using it all for illegal stuff is kinda old fashioned! :P

We only have the one computer, I feel sorry for larger families/flats that have to stick to 40gig >.<
