I currently use an earlier Vodafone PCMCIA VMC modem device.
It operates at GPRS and 3G.

I travel to Australia quite a lot and have set up a Vodafone Australia data plan so I do not pay the VNZ ridiculous data roaming charges of $10/MB. This has worked well. I use the NZ SIM card while in NZ and the OZ card in Australia.

I recently purchased a new laptop and the PCMCIA slot is no longer in the new models.

I am thinking about buying a Vodem.

1)  Can I put in a different SIM card?
2)  Can I access the settings so I can acces V-OZ or VNZ as noted above?
3)  If so, what settings do I need. On the VMC I set up NZ and Australian profiles?
