Sent you a PM with some of my settings to compare...
Speedtest FibreX Max (via 5G WiFi)

Is there any point to getting the 1gig service if I mainly use wifi (albeit ac). We do have 5 reasonably heavy users in the house , but will 200 be enough (although my gut says go for a gig :)

@stocksp 200Mbp/s should be fine if it's working ok for you all on 100Mbp/s

Yep - I know it will be 'enough' but will I be able to squeeze more out of the 1gig (pure greed !)

John Butt, chief executive of Wellington-based broadband testing company TrueNet, has strong (negative) views on the benefits of gigabit internet:
Real-world benefits of gigabit broadband may start off small
[True Confessions: I am sorely tempted to go for gigabit, just because I can]

After the Friday night, Saturday mess, I now am not even sure when the install is scheduled for. Downer arranged this morning. CSR on Saturday said it was in the system for this afternoon. So that's got all the makings of a fun day ahead. At least it's sunny. Might wash the car while I wait. :-)
I was affected by Sat mornings outage as well, phoned 0508 888 800 about 11am and got through to the Broadband & TV 'Tech ninja' option, spoke to the CSR who suggested it was a 'profile' issue and it'lll take a couple of hours to fix.
I received a phone call about 1:30 to check if my internet was working again, which it was.
I also informed her that I had requested a FibreX upgrade and had not heard from Downer yet. She said I was down in the system for Downer to come on Monday (which was news to me) and that Downer will be in touch to arrange a time. Well - it's almost 11am on Monday and I still havent heard from Downer!
Big Thumbs up to Vodafone NZ\Downer![]()
After seeing this thread, around Friday Lunchtime I called Vodafone, got FibreX200 (Upgrading from UltraFast50), Sky basic and sports free for a year, my wife received a phone call Friday afternoon asking what time Monday was suitable for the installation, and the installation was completed just after 10am this morning.
Checked last night and I was seeing 49.8mbps download speeds, so I'll check tonight for the new speeds.
Awesome stuff.

It took a couple of hours for the speedtest site to recognise the 200/20...but it sorted itself out eventually.
