Personally I rea her initial sigh the way I thought when I heard the announcement:

No offence intended... But how come unlimited is now affordable but wasn't before?
Surely customer usage has only gone up over time?

Not related to affordable, Some major network core elements had to be upgraded before this launch, It was not decided last week or last month to launch the new unlimited plan,

I am providing bandwidth to a 3rd party in another residence, and they are giving me money to do so. Is doing so on a cost share rather than for-profit basis sufficient to make me "not an ISP".

If the other dude starts downloading Miley Cyrus MP3s and getting me copyright infringement notices then you can be pretty damn sure I'll be claiming I *AM* an ISP for the purposes of that legislation!

Not that anyone should download Miley Cyrus full stop you would be liable for an infringement as its your service.

Not to mention an infringement for bad taste in music.

Sorry I couldn't resist. Like whomever you like to listen to and ignore anyone to comments about it :)

As an aside: TimA and VodafoneDylan apparently have a wager going on to see if TimA can download 2TB this month. My money's on Tim. :P

Tim... Here is a great download to get if you were looking for something sizeable to prove the point of who can download more. Its somewhat questionable content... but at least not copyright material.

Slightly off topic, but based on the Vodafone website there has also been a price reduction in the 'lower' plans - for example, naked fibre 80GB has reduced from $95 to $85 ($65 to $55 with an on account mobile). Can anyone from Vodafone confirm whether this is correct, and if so whether the reduction also applies to existing customers? A rather grumpy CSR has just insisted that the website is wrong, and there have not been any pricing changes for either new or existing customers.

You must of had the same CSR agent as me. Did her name begin with "H"? I had the exactly problem but after placing the order for **$65** I got an email confirming the new prices of $55.

Interesting - when I tried to switch recently when the new Red cable packages came out, the CSR seemed to be using the website to get all her info (from the ADSL page rather than the cable page but let's not go into that one again :D )

I can't remember - I have dealt with quite a few CSRs. No one really seems to know what do to with us as we already have fibre installed and just want to change from Telecom fibre to drop the phone line.

Was contemplating switching to 500GB, then noticed this yesterday.

Nice.

If I've learnt anything with the Saturn cable infrastructure over the years it's that their triple package offering eventually falls into line as the most competitive option (at least in Kapiti). It's true their after sales service can be simply appalling. But, when things are just working, they work very well.

Curious, that only the retention team are authorised to apply the upgrade for existing InHome customers.

Also, does anyone know if the non-promotional pricing is an extra $10 or $20 (once the 12 month period finishes)?

but did you load the magnet link? TPB doesn't always have all the current swarm listed but i often get 'linux' files with a couple hundred seeds and load them only to see tens of thousands in the swarm once going...

sorry if this isn't the case here, as I'm at work and torrents don't get through the school firewall :)
