This morning I got a phone call from a man claiming to be a Vodafone tech who wanted to change my modem.

I told him as I had not requested a modem change, and I had not been notified of any change by Vodafone, that he could not do the job.

A call to Vodafone found that no job was scheduled.

This is either someone trying to gain access to my property or a big cock-up by Vodafone (yet again).

Just thought I would give you all a heads up just in case it is the former.

Well the mystery has been solved.

Several weeks ago I received a phone call from Vodafone asking to speak to Rachel. I told them Rachel didn't live here and had never lived here. They seemed satisfied with that response.

Then I got this mornings call.

This afternoon I get another call from Vodafone and they expected to speak to Rachel about installing the modem.

It appears that they have the wrong phone number on the worksheet.

Things have to be bad when the phone company doesn't know it own customers phone numbers!
