Just writing to croon how impressed I am with WxC faults.

I am on fusion and have shifted into this house a month ago.  Two days ago my adsl signal had dropped for a third time. I phoned WxC and asked WxC to log a fault with the Telecom exchange. I also asked WxC to pass on a message to Telecom saying my line had dropped three times in the past month. To cut a short story even shorter, the next day a Telecom guy was knocking on my door, testing the line and then replacing faulty wiring. Now my connection has trebled and I am smiling ear to ear!

Thanks WxC for listening and acting!
Thanks also to the Telecom technician (effectively) working on behalf of WxC. Smile

You were quite lucky as the techs commit times have increased a bit due to the weather...

It also raises the question of why is it that I'm told that businesses will get technical service faster than residential phone lines when the broadband prices are the same. Sure businesses stand to loose more but essentially they are paying the same price for the same service but seem to get priority.

Anyone own a business phone line? How much is the base monthly line rental fee?

PS, I'm not against giving priority to businesses, I'm just curious.

I was given the impression that as I am on fusion (ie using VOBB) that I could be given priority as I was without a telephone service. Also perhaps I might have been given priority as my line has dropped 3x24 hour periods within approx 1 month. This could be below Telecom's minimum service level to WxC?

Then again, as you say, maybe I just got lucky...

$39.95 + GST per month from TelstraClear for a resold Telecom line.

$58.72 + GST per month to rent the same line from Telecom.  Go figure Undecided

$49.95 / $51.95 for Business Time, with calling caps, and mobile calling caps also.
