Linux: So you need to buy a new prepaid pack with new sim and new number

How do I get the old number shutdown? Will I have to manually notify everybody who has my current number of a new number or can it be redirected? What about websites that use my number for 2FA and OTP?

If you get it redirected then you'll also get all your scammer calls redirected. You'll just need to tell people about your new phone number, and change the phone number in all the 2FA apps you need.

Thanks. Is there anything else I should be aware of/need to do? Can I remove the old number from my Vodafone account?

Linux: You would have to notify everyone and update 2FA details with the new number

You can't put a redirect on Prepaid connections for voice calls and you can't redirect SMS full stop

Will be a big job but hopefully doable...

Linux: VodafoneNZ staff can delete the profile from the number you no longer wish to keep and then you can attach the new number

There is a remove access option under my account/manage services on the Vodafone my account webpage. Any idea what that does?

Yes that is what you need to use instead of calling 777 to remove your number from the My Vodafone login

If you no longer require the number just snap the SIM card and 13 months from last topup the Prepaid number will deacivate

Are the scam calls overseas numbers? Is there an option to block receiving calls from overseas numbers?

I searched everywhere but could only find an option to bar 10 NZ numbers on the Vodafone website. It's more than phone calls though, they could try to crack accounts using the number...
