lists countries it is launching, but doesn't show NZ on that list. (unless my reading skills are severely lacking)

it sounds great for casual users though - unmetered access is a definite plus!

ETA:  ah, crap, my reaidng skills are severely lacking
just below the countries at launch it lists ones 'coming soon'

"Soon, 0.facebook.com will also be available from the following operators: Telstra in Australia, Movistar in El Salvador, SFR in France, XL in Indonesia, DiGi in Malaysia, Telecom NZ in New Zealand, SMART in the Philippines, Vodafone in Qatar, Digicel in Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago, 3 in the UK, and MTN in Cameroon and Guinea Conakry."

Many things, for one it helps get people to use a standardised version of facebook mobile that is less data intensive then the original mobile version and it gets people used to mobile web.

how about a legion of facebook addicts users moving to the XT network due to the cost savings to be had from free facebook texts, and multi-network TXT packages?
