I have been very happy with vodafone broadband, but I want to try 2talk and the 60Gb naked package is expensive ($90).

Anyone reccomend a cheaper naked BB package?

Cheers

Pair it with your on account Vodafone mobile plan and it drops to $65.

Nice. So I still get a "plan" discount from vodafone, but its for the broadband and mobile rather than broadband and home line (which is now free to go to 2talk?)

Why doesnt CSR tell me this!

Not only does the Vodafone NBB cost $65 if you pair it with your mobile account, you also get a $15 discount off your MySky account if you pay it through Vodafone. And they give you a cool Huawai 556 router that you can plpug a normal analogue phone into for VOIP.

I went with this with 2talk, dumped my CallPlus Broadband and Telecom home line and saved $70 a month.

You will have to check that vodafone naked is available at your address via the vodafone website. It is not available on all exchanges.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Due to the commerce commission splitting exchanges into rural and non-rural years ago. Vodafone don't offer naked on designated rural exchanges. The pricing has recently changed from the commerce commission and vodafone have hinted here that they may review this this year.

Cheers.

That was what I thought, I will be moving over once they make the changes (re. pricing).

Exactly the same as what I've done.

I dumped the Vodafone router as it was a POS, kept having issues with DNS.  Swapped for a Draytek, all sorted.

Yes, the VF router is a strange beast. It sometimes just restarts itself randomly.

The hardware is great but the software cannot match it. Anyway...
