freitasm: I think I know what's going on with Outlook not correctly opening anchor tags - such as http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=48&topicid=144215&page_no=7#1358323

In Outlook if you click that link it will open the default browser without the #1358323 bit. If you copy the hyperlink in Outlook, do Window Key + R and enter the URL it will also not correctly pass the #1358323.

I tested this on Windows 7 and Windows 2012 and in both cases if you do Windows Key + R and paste the URL these OS will correctly pass the #1358323 anchor and open the page at the appropriate location.

It seems Windows 10 managed to break hyperlinks...

please put this feedback into Windows Feedback tool

I will also raise this internally

I already put in the Feedback tool before realising the problem was also in Windows + R, but there's no way to update notes in an existing feedback post to expand it a "how to reproduce it". Tried this morning and no go...

mentalinc: I tried to update my sister laptop yesterday and it requested a product key when running setup.exe from within windows. It does the check for updates then requests a prodct key... She has Windows 7 Home Premium "System" shows Windows is activated. I was using the same USB I've upgraded three pc's with

You need to make sure you are Upgrading Home to Home and Pro to Pro.

You may have been using Pro installation media to upgrade the home version?

Ah yes of course that was the issue, other machines had pro versions...

How did you manage to remove it in the first place?

I've found that with both Windows 8 and 10 after sleeping and resuming a few times ENG returns then after a log off/log on or a reboot it disappears again.

Has anyone updated with Storage Spaces? I'm assuming the pool should remain untouched as the boot drive isn't part of this, but thought I'd confirm if anyone had experience with this.

I got the same error initially. Changing the system locale to en-us and running the installer again fixed it. Then once installed just change the locale back to en-nz.

Funnily enough, I got this error on one of my Win7 pro systems, but not the other.

people complained about hex error numbers so we fixed it

seriously, this is a known error that can be fixed by change your system locale to US

We will be updating the media creation tool so it tells you this properly rather than "something happened"

Has anyone had any problems where their computer goes into Sleep mode, and then approximately 30 seconds later, it wakes back up again without actually touching anything like a keyboard or mouse?

First though would be to check your network card is not set to wake the computer up.

Sort of.  My main issue was that the computer refused to sleep at all automatically.  If I manually put it to sleep (usually at night) It was always lit up like a Xmas tree in the morning.  What I don't know is how soon after going to sleep it actually woke up again.  Searching the interweb thingie I found one option was to disable wake timers:

Settings > system > power and sleep > additional power settings > change when the computer sleeps > change advanced power settings > expand the "sleep" tree > expand "allow wake timers" and set to "disable"

This stopped it waking up again (but didn't fix the not sleeping issue) - however, I am not enough of a geek to know exactly what disabling wake timers was doing - i.e. whether there was some other disadvantage in disabling these timers.  Someone with more knowledge than me would have to comment, or maybe you know that yourself.

BUT - getting back to the original issue of not going to sleep, the solution appeared to be to uninstall all the usb drivers in device manager individually and restart the computer to reinstall.  This has totally fixed my "not going to sleep" issue.  I have now just gone back and re-enabled wake timers just in case the usb re-installation has fixed that as well.  I haven't done it overnight yet so cannot report on whether it will start waking up again after any length of time.  Will report back if I find anything useful.
