I have given up trying to activate Windows 8 at the moment.  Back in October, I bought 3 licences direct from Microsoft. I printed out the email with the licence and when used wrote down on that paper which computer that licence was on.  I used 2 licences.  Now I want to use the last one which I KNOW with 100 percent certainty that I havent used.  However the message says it is already in use.  I know thats not possible.  So twice I ring the activation line and go through the long process of typing the 9 series of numbers in only to be told already in use. Then I can go to a real person. Twice it is some foreigner I have no hope in eternity understanding so end the call jsut cant understand a word they say.  Is there a shortcut so you dont have to keep putting in  the 9 series of numbers and just go to a person and hope you get one who speaks english enough to understand.  Its been so frustrating

When I phoned up a few weeks ago about an activation problem, I got put through to the US, and they were helpful. Maybe try phoning the NZ number, and don't go through the activate process, but instead go through to their technical support people. BUt it would be good if they had some form of online ticket support, which I find far more efficient.

Have you tried using one of the license numbers you have already used?

the screen gave 2 numbers but the message didnt give the option to speak to a person. Had to go through the activation process before given the chance to speak to a person.

no because they are used so no point using them

Use 0800 800 004

The number windows gave me on the screen was an Ozzie number and would have been a toll call. Instead use the one above.
