Hi team,

I have Vista Home Premium and the MS update manager thing prompted me to download and install SP1 on Friday night, which I did. Since then, after I put my laptop in sleep mode and then bring it out again, it warns me that Windows did not shut down correctly, and prompts me to start in safe mode, or start Windows normally. The first time it happened I started in safe mode, but since then I've just been telling it to start Windows normally, with no apparent ill effects.

Any ideas why this might be happening, and how to stop it?

Sounds like the laptop is powering off whilst asleep; or some device does not like going to sleep, so is crashing.
