mailmarshall: Anyone know how long it takes for YouShop to send emails advising parcels have arrived at the warehouse?

I bought some stuff during the recent Black Fri sales and the package was delivered to the YouShop Warehouse on Dec 4 from the seller but I haven't heard anything from Youshop.



I had something delivered on the 4th or 5th (10am USA time) and I haven't got any emails yet and nothing is popping up on the website so there is probably some back log right now. There was just a big sales event and more importantly its Christmas time so lots of parcels being shipped around the world. I would get worried if it hasn't shown by Friday id say :)

My parcel was delivered by Amazon on Tuesday morning (US time). I still haven't got the email. I used NZ posts Live Chat and was told it takes 48 hours, so to wait until 330pm on Friday (NZ time). Nothing happened then, and still hasn't happened. Youshop warehouse is closed (still Sunday in US) but I'll try live chat again.

** EDIT ** I take that back. It is in my Youshop account now. Arrived Saturday Afternoon and the email was in my junk folder.

I had an email on Sat regarding an item that was supposedly delivered 3rd. I did anticipate this given Black Friday Sales. Other deals I purchased which shipped direct are expected here mid next weeek. Will be interesting to see which items get here first.

I have had one parcel arrive, waiting for the other 6 to arrive before I ship (estimated to be the 12th USA Time by FexEx)
Under no expectations to see the parcels this year - be good, but not expected.

Amazon have chosen to pack your items into a giant box. There's not a lot you can do except hope/ask for a repack.


Got a an Amazon box yesterday (direct shipping, not YouShop). It was a single book - the box could easily hold about 15 of those. It was full of paper...



I received a vinyl record last week. It was also well endowed in the packing department :-)


I hope it was at least packed better than just rattling around in that giant box, because if not, that's awful.

Did your cover get picked randomly or was there some significance for you?

Can confirm my parcel that has been waiting in USA has now appeared on the Youshop website and I am currently going through the payment to get it over here. Hopefully everyone else's parcel has shown as well? :)

Mine arrived at the YouShop warehouse delivered by UPS Saturday 10.00am USA time, still no email/notification it has even arrived in the YouShop system yet. You would think it would of been at least scanned to show it had arrived, every other shipping/freighter scans every movement of parcels but YouShop doesn't seem to of grasped this yet.

I waited 6 days for my last parcel to show, and it's now 6 days with the latest one. Hoping it shows today. Once it's on the way it gets here reasonably quick, but there's definitely a delay at the warehouse over there. Would be nice to have an update regarding the delays on the website!

Can you see your parcel under the Youshop tracking? I had one delivered this morning (at least I think its that one) and it is showing there with the message "Details for this parcel have not been entered into our tracking system yet - please try again later." Which I assume means its been receipted into the facility but not entered into the pay for the delivery part of the system yet.

Nothing showing anywhere, have been looking since the weekend and have been using their tracking system. I don't really worry if there is a delay in it leaving the warehouse to get to NZ, but it has been there for five days and they haven't even scanned it/emailed to say it has arrived there yet which is poor really.

Yep, pretty poor service that it takes so long to scan a parcel in. Mine took 4 days from being signed for to appearing on my account. 3 days later, it is showing as paid  (paid straight away), but not in transit yet.

Looks like NZ post are surprised by how many people are using the service at Christmas Time (not like it gets busy at xmas or anything?!)

It has now taken over twice as long for them to process (and not even forward on) the parcel that it took for Amazon to process AND deliver it (and I'll bet Amazon are a lot busier than the NZ Post Youshop warehouse - maybe they realized Christmas would be busier :/)
