MadEngineer:I'm not trying to defend them, but everything we send out (and we send a lot) gets delivered same day or overnight, two working days if rural. And that's courierpost/fastway/nzcouriers/others
Ordered item Friday from Auckland and it arrived at my house this morning in the South Island. Good job!
frankv: People moaning about slow couriers, top this: ...
This one has been processed at the same depot 3 times:
Meanwhile, this parcel was picked up at the same time & it hasn't even arrived at the depot yet!

jjnz1: My two packages are stuck processing at East Tamaki, ... Is East Tamaki the bottle neck I wonder?
It would seem like it is. No delays with parcels collected from Penrose, just 10km away from East Tamaki, but the ones collected 3-5km away from East Tamaki are delayed.

I had small order packed and sent from Mitre 10 Petone, on 26th April. It went from there, to the Courier Post depot in Seaview a few km's away in the opposite direction, where it sat for over a week, and then got delivered to me in Maungaraki (Western Hills, Hutt Valley). I can see M10 out our windows, and it's less than a 5 min drive.
Just before it was delivered I checked the Courier Post website and it said it was being delivered next day. However it got delivered that day. I guess under promise and over deliver is the mantra ;-)
We also got something from Harvey Norman in Lower Hutt at around the same time. That arrived within 2 days. However it was personally delivered by a HN staff member in his own personal vehicle (no we didn't know him!). Kudos to HN for thinking outside the square!
...and on Stuff tonight:
I've seen couriers delivering 7 days a week, but didn't realise it was a 24/7 operation. 200 Parcels per minute is alot. Probably shouldn't complain too much I guess!
Cheers
Their call centre isn't 24/7 - they don't even work Saturdays anymore (they changed their recorded message). Yet I spoke to them two Saturdays ago.
Still no update on my redirection, despite their website saying deliveries are taking "up to 5 days". I guess two weeks must be acceptable to them.
Also Trademe sent me an automated reminder e-mail this morning telling me to place feedback for the seller...but I can't, I don't even have the item.
The last update I can pull on my China Mail package is it left (or did it) Guangzhou on 10/03. Appreciate this could take a while to get here if coming by sea, but I'm loathe to just give up and reorder in case the second one is equally delayed or the first one arrives.
Got an email from Courierpost last nite saying that my Miter 10 item Ego leaf blower was delivered at 8.35pm. Went out and no sign of it. Went for a walk up the street first thing this morning but not on some neighbor's door step. Don't know where they delivered it to . Have logged a query with them for non delivered item. I would have done "Click and Collect" on the item but at the time of order the local Miter 10 store was not listed as a click and collect. It is now.

Laptop has gone from 'Collected from Sender' on the 6th to 'Out for Delivery' this morning 😆 That's only one day over the Estimated Arrival date I was given when ordered from PB. Not to bad from Courier Post, reading through this thread I wasn't expecting to see it until next week.
OK - here's a question.
If I book a courier for 2 day delivery then get a notification after I have sent the item stating that due to increased demand my parcel could take up to 5 working days longer than anticipated, are they in breach of their terms of service?
I've paid for a service with a specific timeframe stated when purchasing...this is not being honoured. Surely they should update the pricing (make all pricing the same as there appears to be no express services now) and refund the difference to anyone that's paid for the more expensive shipping options, as they can't deliver in the stated timeframes?
Rant over

I have just had delivery on a pack of LEDs that were ordered on feburary that had auto completed on aliexpress a while back. Looking thru my orders there are another 6 that auto completed rather than the seller extend the time. I will give it till the end of the week before I open disputes on them all.
Tracking is crap. Also it turns out that "accepted by last mile carrier" can either mean its in NZ and been handed to NZ post, or that the China place has just slapped another label on it. Sometimes the new tracking number is in view delivery details but it seems mostly its just a mystery of what happens between that showing on the parcel, and it turning up.

No, everything from NZpost is a target, not a commitment.

Ok - I checked on my deliveries. I am now one of those poor suckers with fresh food delayed.
I ordered apples and mandarins from container door - apples arrived quick smart.
Mandarins show as picked up on the 6th...........hmmmmmm

This is one of the reasons why i am not ordering meat etc that normally is couriered overnight in a cooler box etc. Been hearing people waiting up to 5 - 7 days for an overnight only to have food turn bad. Something in the paper the other day about a company having to refund customers back due to bad food and the company losing 1,000's in $$ due to refunds.
I really hope that these companies are going after courierpost/nzpost etc to refund them.
