USA uses different digital over the air broadcasts ATSC instead of DVB, and they lock 50Hz out on the US models to stop them from being exported to other countries where things sell for a lot more. Even with virtually identical model numbers, even on the VGA port on some of them, as soon as you give them 50Hz (or 25p) they will pop up UNSUPPORTED MODE or similar. Plus it is big and fragile so chances are they will not cover you for breakages, and any decent TV will be larger than youshop allow for which is 1.5m max.

Youshop UK are refusing to deliver a Zenbook, presumably because of the battery. Can anyone suggest another freight forwarder in the UK that might be able to help?

I have found shipito great from the US, never used the UK one because there is nothing I want from the UK, but I assume the rules are the same. Most carriers are ok with things inside devices they list.

I've just used shipito specifically for the delivery of a large lithium battery.

While you need to declare that it is/contains a lithium battery, they have multiple offerings to support international delivery.

Their system/support/tracking so far has been superior to YouShop from my experience also... (though slightly more expensive)

I did have DHL return a parcel once for lithiums to them, but because I declared it and they shipped it they refunded it and I had to fedex that one. Not sure why it was returned since I have DHL'ed lithiums since then.

I had two 8400mah Ravpower battery packs and a 20,000 mah limefuel battery pack shipped direct to NZ. It didn't have to go through youshop. Probably cheaper to spend a bit more on packs that will ship direct than ones that have to go via youshop. 

My Anker 7800 mah battery + case for S4 arrived, along with an anker USB cable. Took about a week from when Youshop recieved it. Pretty happy, just wish it was cheaper for small items although TBH amazon could've used a smaller box (It was an A3 box)

Has anyone had a parcel lost by YouShop?

I ordered three items from Amazon from three different resellers, had all of them sent to YouShop (USA), who subsequently consolidated the items posted them as one. On arrival in NZ, despite the item being correctly addressed, they delivered it to the same street name in the wrong city (Auckland instead of Hamilton).

They tell me they have been unable to recover the package, and I should now get in touch with the original senders from Amazon.. I don't really understand the point of that, given that as far as they're concerned, they delivered the parcels to the US address successfully, then YouShop stuffed up.

Has anyone been through this process before?

Any reason why? I've had a couple of times where they've incorrectly classified my item as a dangerous good and had to demand it be reassessed.
