As for the answer...

 

The Amiga’s audio chip could “speak” Morse code through electromagnetic leakage — even with the speakers unplugged.

 

Here’s what happened:
Because of how the Paula chip (the Amiga’s audio processor) modulated data, it generated faint electromagnetic emissions corresponding to the sound output. Early hobbyists experimenting with RF receivers or nearby speakers noticed that if you programmed Paula to output beeps or Morse-like pulses, you could pick up the pattern on an AM radio tuned to the right frequency — even if the audio cables were disconnected.

 

This oddity wasn’t intentional; it was a side effect of how the chip’s digital-to-analog converter toggled voltage lines. But it meant that Amigas were — quite literally — radiating their sound. Some European demo coders even played with this quirk to broadcast tiny “radio demos” detectable a few meters away.
