This wasn't because anyone was religious. It was because the people who perpetrated the attacks are unbalanced and possibly mentally ill. It just happens they may also be religious AS WELL. It's not reasonable to say this attack happened due to religion.

If they weren't religious they would have fixated on something else and done the same thing.

I didn't say YOU mentioned terrorism. But if you go to BBC and other mainstream media outlets, the authorities in charge were quick to call this an "act of terror" or "terror attacks".

You mentioned "religious" and I am comparing the speed to say this is a religious manifestation as quick as authorities saying it was a terrorist attack. That's all.

Without knowing everything it could be easily both, or none.

Anyway I would say its 100% religion based.
A bunch of my cloud fairy follower mates always explain to me they are not religious. Religion they claim is the politics and such that surrounds belief in god/s. They say they believe in god but are not religious.

I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that I am pretty sure that more people have probably been killed in the name of Athesm than religion.

Besides the OP is putting all religious people into the same basket. I think the op is a bit of a basket case ...

Atheism is merely a category one falls into if he/she lacks any religious beliefs. It's a lack of belief; it doesn't imply any kind of belief in anything.

Also 'atheism' isn't a proper noun and doesn't need to be capitalised.

Back on topic you can't blame a belief system for the actions of crazy people. People will use their religion as a justification for many heinous acts but that doesn't mean the belief system or religion as a whole is responsible. Every group has its crazies but they shouldn't be held up as representative of the whole group.

People can be religious and crazy but that doesn't mean they are crazy because of the religion.
