Sad to watch the last episode of Lethal Weapon (again movie spin-off).  Have really liked the first series.  Stayed relatively true to the movie characters and the actor that play's Riggs does a damn good job IMO.

I've been watching that, it's fairly entertaining but quite forgettable.

But I actually think it isn't very true to the movies at all. They haven't really played the "I'm getting too old for this sh*t" angle with Murtaugh. And the movie was called "Lethal Weapon" based on Riggs being so highly trained that he should be registered as a "Lethal Weapon" - the show has him with military weapons training, but his hand-to-hand combat is just run-of-the-mill.

That said, it is better than I was expecting, so I will watch the next season to see where it goes.

The expanse season 1 and season 2 so far....just been picked up for s3...this show (and the books it is based on) is awesome, I really hope they can keep it going beyond s3.

Fantastic show. After season 1 I tried reading the first book, but actually struggled a bit and didn't finish - possibly because of how close the show is apparently sticking to the novels it was too fresh in my mind.

I REALLY hope this show goes as long as the book series does, as so far the show has been as realistic and grounded a space opera as I have seen.

Binge watched this all in one go, The Santa Clarita Diet.  Different and funny at the same time. Not too serious.   I generally don't like zombie shows but this one was great.

I watched a show on Netflix called 3%. Downloaded one episode to watch on a plane, not realising it was Portuguese.

I ended up watching the whole series when I came back, and it was enjoyable enough, but the dubbing to English made the acting seem poorer that it was (some short phrases ended up sounding odd when translated)

Overall was a decent watch, more young adult I think.

Watched Season 1 of Dirk Gently on Netflix. I enjoyed some of the weird plot points and keen to know what happens next. Ending could have been a little better though. Hope they make season 2.

Has anyone seen the UK version? How does it compare to this US version?

Yes it was a great series.  I didn't notice the dubbing into English much, better than others I've seen dubbed... Actually it was made in Brazil

the british one is closer to the source material , so if you have read the books then you will probably like the british one more. i prefered it but im a big Howard Overman fan , he also did Misfits and a really good new series called Crazyhead.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Samurai Gourmet is brilliant. 9/10 - Japanese, Netflix original, subtitles.

The Expanse. Thanks to the many recommendations here. It's like Bladerunner + Firefly with anything else thrown in. Detectives, shootouts, spaceships, pandemics, spacebattles. Fills a gap waiting for the next Star Trek series.

Lostja: Iron Fist s1e1 - mehh, not nearly as good as some of there other marvel shows on Netflix.

Far too similar to Daredevil IMO.

Also, these alleged superheroes keep getting their a**es handed to them in fights...! What's with that?

Great books and I was reasonably pleased with the transition to screen with the exception of the actor playing James Holden who just doesn't quite do it right - he's too much like a stroppy teen.

I can only see Series 1 on Netflix - where can I see S2?

Netflix is actually quite poor in NZ - it seems to have quite a lot of programs where there are more series already screened but not available on Netflix.

Just finished Iron Fist S1 tonight, thank god.

Truly awful, utterly pathetic and please, if you have not seen it, read a book instead - heck, stare into space and think nice thoughts for an hour a night instead - just don't bother watching this dross.

Just finished Star Wars Rebels Season 3.  Kinda half star wars, half kiddy cartoon.  Fills the gap until Dec...
