freitasm:The Surfdale Sausager: Waiheke's Surfdale Sausager: 'That's when I knew it was a serious problem' | RNZ News
Google shut down Hangouts a few months ago. Today I received an email telling me I'd missed some messages, showing part of a chat from circa 2015.

I can see why that's disturbing because here's no butter on that bread at all. It's inedible.
Butter...gag...have not put butter on anything for near on 50 years. Margarine is worse.
When you receive the Oxymeter from Healthline for covid and it doesn't come with written instructions, but does come with two CDs...
My laptop still plays CDs (Sandy Bridge era) but I know I'm probably in the minority there...
The CDs are to protect your table when you drop the used nasal swab while using all 3 hands to do a covid test.

Given that fruit did appear, albeit briefly, I would suggest that yes it got pollinated.
Much like the too much or not enough water, google suggests that you definitely do and definitely don't need two trees. *shrug*
That said, Avo's flower both male and female on the same tree, alternating one in the morning, one in the afternoon (apparently), so two trees aren't *needed* but I have been contemplating putting in a second tree. Downside is that it'll be at least 5 years until that becomes productive, even for flowers.
I know very little about avo's but with a number of plants if the flowers aren't fertilised, they will develop fruit initially, but the fruit then discolours and dies. Just a thought, I don't know if it applies to avo's.

I think the biggest "fruit" was about 5mm across at most. There didn't appear to be any discolouration, just one day they on the tree, over the next few days they progressively dropped off their stems.
On thinking about it, the lemon tree near it actually did much the same with basically all the fruit buds dropping off, so maybe as previously mentioned it is not tree specific but condition related this year.

What area are you in? Two things I can think of:
1. Too much clay in your soil. We have well-draining soil and this year has been awesome for fruit, huge and juicy.
2. Guava moth. Not sure how far south this extends now, I would imagine down as far as Waikato/BOP now, I think it hit Auckland around 2017?

Upper Hutt. Soil is basically a riverbed with topsoil. No clay here. Very well draining which my rhubarb absolutely loves.
No moth based objects noticed, though something was eating some of the leaves at times.

I think you're confused, lack of butter isn't the issue. The've used the wrong sauce & appear to have put it under the sausage?!

Definitely a sign of a very sick mind at work!
Looks like Metlink's incompetence is contagious.
AT have advised there will be no trains for the Elton John concert and are advising the public to take their car. (Can't find a link just yet but was announced on TV3 news at 6 am.) The crowd is expected to be 40,000, there are 700 carparks available.
This comes after the fiasco where bus drivers weren't aware that ticket holders for the Chillies were entitled to a free ride.
Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.
I'm all for 'be what you want to be, do what you want to do' as long as you're not hurting anyone, but a fetish for talking to female hairdressers really does seem a bit wacko.

You'd think they'd just call a generic phone sex number and tell them "here's the scenario I want, off we go" and get an active participant rather than getting a confused response from someone who's really not into it.
Photographer friend of mine used to do fetish photography and would sometimes ask clients who commissioned shoots why they wanted shots of (say) a model playing with balloon animals. The response in this case was that when he was a kid he had an attractive after-school carer who used to make balloon animals for kids, and since then he's formed a connection between attractive girls and balloon animals. Presumably this caller had something similar that got them interested in... haircuts?
