I'm sure there are some hardcore chicken-nugget lovers in this forum of geeks.

Late last year Burger King dropped their 'Chicken Tenders' in favor of new 'Chicken Nuggets', this leads until this day people writing on their facebook every couple of days saying how they think their nuggets are cr*p and to bring back the old tenders,

I've tried them, most of the time they dont seem very fresh and when they are fresh they are okayish but I think McNuggets are much nicer.

What are your thoughts?

The nuggets and BK suck now. Chicken Tenders were my go to thing when driving through Turangi and now no more =(

Yeah, I have noticed they have been doing alot of cost cutting recently

For example for $5 you used to get a creamy mayo cheeseburger stunner meal, which was a Cheeseburger with Mayo, Fries, Drink Sundae, Now they've removed the mayo and kept it the same price (Their cheeseburgers are too tasteless without mayo in my opinion)

They replaced their $3 budget chicken burger with the chicken nuggets in a burger (seriously?!) and increased the price

They're in the process of yanking all the 50s memorabilia out of my local one :(

Tenders were something different, the nuggets are just bland. At least at McDonalds you get mustard sauce as an option

They seem inconsistent. Often they are dry and overcooked and horrible. Sometimes they have been fresh and just-right and actually very nice, but that seems rare. Overall, pretty poor, and nowhere near as good as the tenders were.

I haven't tried the BK nuggets, but can highly recommend Carl's junior tenders, they are epic.

I hope they're not throwing away that 50's memorabilia!

I went there today for the first time in about six months. The burger (Double Whopper) which used to be my usual order was awful. Smaller than I remembered, and the big bits of onion and tomato I used to get were missing (there was pretty much only one bit of onion), there was almost no sauce, and there was basically one hard white bitter stalk off an iceberg lettuce rather than the greenery I used to get. Plus, the price for the meal has gone up about 10% to $11.50 to add insult to injury. If it wouldn't have embarrassed the friends I was with, I would have taken it back and asked for a refund.

It's fair to say I won't be going back in a hurry - if at all. From being my preferred burger joint a couple of years ago, it's now significantly worse value that Burger Fuel, Wisconsin or even Maccas IMO.

I suspect all may not be well with BK?

Yup that's pretty much my experience with them, but maccas ones are much more consistent and have a nicer coating

I never actually got to try tenders, I wish I did

When the nuggets first came out they had Aioli and Peri Peri dipping sauce but stupidly they were limited time only

Never been to Carl's, Sadly they don't have them in Christchurch

I think Whoppers are still quite large, I don't think they have become smaller, Perhaps you got given a JR instead? Usually they have two tomatos and a good amount of lettuce, I have to admit their lettuce isnt always that great as I think they cut it in store instead of pre packaged shreadded lettuce like McDonalds. I don't like onions so order mine without so can't really comment on that, I like their battered onion rings though

The Lower Hutt BK is disgusting.  Most burgers from the Lambton Quay store seem to have died of shame.

I rate Wendys for having the best nuggets. Cant stand McDees ones now, used to really like them but they dont taste the same. Wendys is my destination of choice if fast food is required :)
