So I bought a long bought not long ago, an electric one. It is a hell of a lot of fun and I've been really enjoying it - but I have noticed that the remote appears to be cutting out. (or at least the connection to the board...)
I've narrowed it down to it losing signal of sorts to the chip inside the board. I'm able to replicate the issue I'm having by covering the chip with my hand.
My question is, is there any way I can somehow amplify it's ability to receive easily? It has an external antenna plugged in, but it appears that only goes so far, and despite it being plugged in, I can still hamper the signal by covering the actual PCB.
I guess the other question here is, is it possible the actual chip itself is faulty? The remote it never more than a meter or so away from the board (I'm riding it, duh!), so just considering my options.
I've emailed the supplier to ask some questions about what to do next for trouble shooting... I've had other issues with this board upon arrival, so I'm just wondering if it's a bit of a lemon all round..
