I've got an idea for a blog post, but need some geographical data - thought food places were a good start.

Please post your favourite place to eat, its address (if you can) and what category (fast food, restaurant, indian, takeaways etc).  They don't have to be in Auckland.

I'll start off with four of mine:

BurgerFuel Parnell - fast food
187 Parnell Rd, Parnell

Murder Burger - fast food
128a Ponsonby Rd, Ponsonby

Fatimas - fast food
240 Ponsonby Rd, Ponsonby

Burger Wisconsin - fast food
168 Ponsonby Rd, Ponsonby

I love Zap4 and Zap2. In fact, if I ever find Zap1 or Zap3 I'm sure I'll love them too!

Zap4
6 Commerce St
Auckland 1010

Zap2
639 Dominion Road
Balmoral 1041
(09) 638 6393

Also Cloves Indian Takeaways is fantastic.
It's just a hole-in-the-wall type curry place, but the food is amazing. The building is kinda cool too, they have this huge old projection TV in the corner to watch while you wait for your food.

Cloves
176 Jervois Road, Herne Bay, Auckland

Apart from my place...

Two places in Christchurch that really stand out to me as something to recommend:

Flying Burrito Brothers - Mexican
New Regent St
INCREDIBLE food and faultless service every time.

Little India - Indian (duh!)
New Regent St
Never been to the restaurant but they deliver so when I'm lazy they're my go-to guys. Lotsa good vegetarian options if you're that way inclined.

North Sea Village - Chinese Yum Cha - damn good food, pay per plate but good sized helpings. Dont expect English to be the staff's strongpoint however :)
Level 3, 9-11 Corinthian Drive
Albany

Mad Dogs and Englishmen (Glenfield) - Pub - THEY HAVE SPARE RIBS!!!! (Love the cursed things, seem to be harder to find these days)
20 Link Dve
Glenfield
Auckland

So.... a Geekzone meet at either of those two would have my vote ;)

I do like burgerfuel, but it is just so expensive these days.

My preferred meal is flame thrower ($10.90) kumara fries wtih aliol ($5.00) and a malt shake ($4.90).

don't get me wrong, it is deliscious, but >$20 for a takeaway burger meal is an absolute rort.

Although I generally love Burger Fuel I have found that the quality varies a lot between franchises.

In my experience the ones in New Plymouth, Palmerston North and Courtenay Place are really good but the ones in Lower Hutt and Johnsonville seem to dish out soggy and unappetising burgers.

Couldn't agree more.

I've also noticed that the aioli punnets are not as full as they used to.
