Hey all...

As many have heard, I live fairly rural and have. 4.7km link to an oversubscribed exchange. Neighbours have been port waiting for about a year already.

Selling my house to a mate and wondering how I can hand over my phone/broadband account to them so they don't have to port-wait too. I know I could just do a direct deal with them, but don't want the hassle of 'invoicing' a pal for calls made.

Is there a way to just change the name of an account and then change billing details?

Bonus would be they'd still be able to redirect my calls in the years to come as I'm changing regain an can't take my number too (unless a VOIP plan can do this?)

PhantomNVD: Thanks for the quick replies guys...
So basically, if the ISP takes a chance at someone objecting to the account change that's their risk and since I have passed on the account there's no worries at my end.

From an ISP point of view, A change of ownership is simply a change in the billing system. Chorus aren't notified as the connection stays active.
